Computer Overview

Our Megasquirt computers are assembled here and fully tested with real efi car parts
Get ready to install and tune your Megasquirt ECU V3 and V3.57 with Free download software for Tuning interface and upgrade software.

MS will take care of your engine with fuel and spark maps via Throttle position, Coolant temp, Air intake temp, crank and/or cam signal, on-board MAP sensor and O2 sensor.

VW 2l T and 1.8T or n-turbo maps are loaded to the efi4tuning ECU for VW applications.

-The new connector configuration allows the ECU to handle the current in the automotive environment. Inputs are wired in one connector and the outputs to another connector. This new setup is getting popular in efi community. We designed an adaptor board to connect the commercial connectors direct on the board. This adaptor also has inboard VB921 coil driver up to 4 available. No more prototyping in the proto area for drivers added. The VB921 empty hole can be replace with multipurpose drivers.

Megasquirt has two processors possibility. MS1 and M2. Both fit the V3 and the V3.57 board below

MSV3 board
 

The MegaSquirt® V3 is a 'thru-hole' main board.

Its use for do-it-yourself assembling , easier for prototyping and suitable for modifications in projects.

This board need 'thru-hole parts to be solder in place. The manual is full detailed for assembling yourself. The assembling and the running test on this board so you ll need some good skills on electronic troubleshooting and good knowledge about electronic fuel injection ......and mechanical skills too. Thats why we offer full tested assembled units.

You can get it at quite low cost be think about this ECU ll drive your engine and if ever 1 cylinder get too lean for to long it ll blow t a piston and lot of your pocket money. Be sure to read all the maual more than one time. Read any advices from pros.

MSV3.57 board
 

The V3.57 is a surface-mount device (SMD) version of the MegaSquirt V3®

The board look like more professionnal or as factory new car computers. Its not designer to be prototyped but intended to make life easier for distributors who are building their boards for resale or finished products.

We use it as the final product of a prototyped V3 board.

-Functionally; the V3.57 board operates identically to the V3 main board with only minor alterations for additional support and functionality.

-The processor pin jumper ports JS0 through JS12 have been brought outside of the processor and arranged in 0.100 inch spacing.

Note the adaptor board fit the V3.57 and V3 board. An adaptor board might be developp with a small prototype area.

MS1 chip can use msextra-1 firmware from Philip Ringwood (daxtojeiro), James Murray (jsmcortina) and Ken Culver (muythaibxr)or AL&Grippo firmware

MS2 chip (daughter board) can use msextra-2 firmware or AL&Grippo firmware

Both handle fuel and spark control , idle control. Only MS2 has IAC stepper idle control (GM type IAC valve).

This unit is full loaded. msns-extra 1 firmware installed.

  • Input hall or VR input(Missing Tooth Trigger Wheel Input) circuit selectable
  • Fuel Pump/FIdle Circuit Protection
  • It control fuel and sparks as well.

    The new connector can handle all the drivers current and then no need to extra db-15 computer connector.

     Note: The enclosure is black anodized aluminium.
