Our boards still runs the coils with the nice VB921. It does the job very well. We have them in high quantity and can get 1 million if needed. So please dont cut your legs to get the BIP373.

There is our advices:

1)Use good connector for output coil pins.
2)The coil must be wired to a relay activated by fuel pump output to avoid power the coil when the engine is not cranking or not running.
3)The spark setting must be INVERTED =YES if use direct coil driver option.
4)At the first run and even on other test , check if ever the coil or the coil driver get hot.

14 pins commercial input connector : sensors, spare inputs and ecu power. 16 pins commercial output connector ; coil, injectors,spares,IAC idle and grounds. -The new connector configuration allows the ECU to handle the current in the automotive environment. Inputs are wired in one connector and the outputs to another connector. This new setup is getting popular in efi community. We designed an adaptor board to connect the commercial connectors direct on the board. This adaptor also has inboard VB921 coil driver up to 4 available. No more prototyping in the proto area for drivers added. The VB921 empty places can be replace with multi-purpose drivers. The inboard VB921 is been replaced by a idle mosfet driver for its free wheel diode.
